I am a multidisciplinary artist based in Northern Virginia. Primarily working in narrative film production and documentary photography.

With a background blending theater, film and photography. My work primarily focuses on creating proximity between audience and performance.

As a Filmmaker I am particularly drawn to family narratives. Looking at the complexities of how relationships function with in that context.

As a Photographer I am primarily trying to act as a witness and to document and preserve my families history. I explore landscapes, domestic spaces, and material objects tied to family history and memory.

I primarily use both practices to better understand my own family, and my work interrogates the truthfulness the truth behind images.

​

I like work that is emotionally challenging and that is not afraid to be intimate.

I want to make work that speaks to certain universal truths about the difficulties and challenges of life, but at the same time I fundamentally believe Life is Beautiful!
