Upstate/Down South is an attempt to explore and document two very different landscapes which are both familiar and unfamiliar to me, while capturing the memories and history of family no longer with us.

This project is an exploration of landscapes, both from the ancestral home of my family in Upstate New York, and my birthplace on the Central East Coast of Florida.

Started in the Fall of 2021, this series is both a genealogical project that continues the research of my grandmother, but also a deeply personal exploration of my family.
